24/8/12 Street party - date change!! New date: October 13th!
Hello all - sorry but there's been another slight delay to the Revamp the Ramp project, so we've decided to reschedule the party to October 13th. For the 'Gardening Party, we'll need volunteers to help us put the new plants in the newly constructed beds, and to organise kids activities. And we'll have an evening party with live music at the Fountain Pub
Come and meet us at the next FARA meeting on 12th September for an update and to get involved!
Revamp the Ramp Street Party
We're going to have a street party!! We want to celebrate the opening of our biggest ever project: the Fountain Area Community Garden (better known as Revamp the Ramp). Construction work has started this week and will be finished by end of September. The work is funded by the lottery, and they even give us some money for our launch event. PLEASE help us make this event a big success and a fun day for the area! Do you have any ideas for the day? Do you dance, sing, play an instrument or can you help organise games or activities?
26/6/12: Revamp the Ramp: another grant helps us finish the project!
The run-up to the start of Revamp the Ramp has been a worrying time. In May we appointed the contractor to build the project, but then found we didn't have enough money to pay for plants! Luckily for us, we then heard about the Tottenham Green Community Fund. FARA applied, and has just been awarded £1000! So now we've got enough money to buy all the plants we need!!
12/6/12: Avenue Road - Decorative Panels installed in the Wall!!
